The end

The icon is finished and my mother has passed away. I finished the icon some weeks ago. Notice the letters and the highlighting. Still need to varnish. Most who tune into this blog, know that my mom passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008, and that I was with her when she took her last breath. Today was her funeral and though I am exhausted, I am very proud of my family and the way we pulled together to honor my mother's memory. I am uncertain whether I will continue this blog. I feel that the original purpose of this blog has been fulfilled. My friends and anyone else who cares knows a little more about the whole process of painting an icon. Thanks for tuning in.
